Grandma

This song was written for his Grandpa but boy does it make me think of Grandma B. Her prayers are the ones that got all her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids where they are and the hope in Jesus we all have!! Enjoy!!

Good bye for now Grandma!

No matter how blessed we are to have had Grandma for as long as we did. It is still so hard to think about having to wait so long to see her again. She went home to be with Jesus last night and I miss her already. Don't get me wrong she was quite ill and I am thankful she is dancing with Jesus. I am so thankful for having her in our lives and that all my children got to know her. She has taught me so much. As many of you know Grandpa and Grandma B helped raise us so they were so much more than just a Grandpa and Grandma to me. The past couple years have been rough ones and I cherished Grandma's phone calls. She has helped get us through so many rough times. Oh I will miss them. As my children wake I will be able to tell them Grandma feels better, her pain is gone.... She is with Jesus now!! But oh I will miss her! And my sweet Grandpa please pray for him. This was the love of his life. They got married when Grandma was only19. What a legacy of love and faith they created. I hope all their Children and Grandchildren have learned that! Nothing would make Grandma more happy than to have us all join her and Jesus one day!! So now I will just try to be more like Grandma!
Jesus give her a hug for me since I couldn't be with her on her last days :(

Special education

Well it seems we have learned a lot about special needs since our Liberians have come home everyone has wanted to pass the buck on helping these two. I guess this is the story of their lives. This is definatly the hardest journey God has ever called us on. Even though so many lied to us knowing he had directed our call and we have worked to honor what he has asked, to the best of our ability is all we can offer. We have been able to protect our other children from many attacks. As well as offer the best help for so many of their special needs. We have never given up or changed God's call when things got rough or let our children manipulate us into turning from what he has directed us to do. For this I am thankful. We keep walking through the doors he has opened. The bottom line is all our children know they are safe and loved. Now we are fighting for their special needs. Tomorrow is the big IEP meeting for Quita. Having her home learning with the other kids everyday is too much, it is not working and we all deserve more. It is not fair for any of them, we have finally gotten our district to evaluate her needs which are far beyond our expertise, and the school districts as well. It seems everyone knows where she belongs and what is the safest choice for her and all the other children. But you know what, no one wants to pay for it. Just like everything else in life money and politics try to rule all. We can't get her into this school, only the school district can. Please pray for a miracle and that everyone agrees to do what is best for all of our children, and the other children she will attend school with! We even have a doctor who has treated Q for over a year that has written a letter just pray the school district decides to listen. Yes she is still struggling daily! She needs this additional help and our other children need this too. Still believing in miracles.. We know we can't do this alone!!

Princess is a big girl now!!

Today our baby girl lost her first baby tooth!! What a sad day for Mom & Dad but we must be all smiles for our little Princess who wants her teeth to sparkle like diamonds so losing one was a tragedy!! She wanted to call her best buddy to tell him. They really do grow way too fast!!

I believe in Miracles!!

Ok folks since December Q has been in jail a couple times. This girl just would not try. She was on the verge of returning to stay with her Aunt in Liberia, her Aunt suffered a heart attack (who knows if she really did) so they travel plans were put on hold. Q was aware of all ther choices she was making this girl definatly knows right from wrong. So a couple weeks ago she spent another night in jail and returned home throwing the same fits but this time Mama changed the rules, and Q responded. Thank you for all your prayers keep em coming. She has been home for over 1 1/2 years, we have never even had one full great day. Well folks we are going on 2 weeks. Q has been on house arrest since the beginning of Dec. they call and check in or drop by daily. This has been awesome, they document everything. So all of a sudden things have changed even on paper. Everyone is shocked. Only Jesus!! This is the Q we knew was there but hadn't met yet. It took 1 1/2 years to finally meet our daughter. She thought there was a monster in ther attic, so one morning she woke up and said it was under her bed. I said get up now and look. She would not. Wild Mike came in and crawled under, he came out laughing so Q looked under. In shock she said Mama your right, you were right, you told me the truth the whole time. She has woken with a smile since, slept well, and has not been so angry. Jesus broke something. Our hope is she can heal forward from here. Keep praying and keep believing...

Rally in Madison

Every kid deserves a chance to fight for what they believe in. In our house that is the right to the best education possible by the best licensed teachers there are. And this guy is tops!! Now when a teacher can make 11-13 year olds love history we love the guy!! :)

Every kid deserves a great school!
