Special education
Well it seems we have learned a lot about special needs since our Liberians have come home everyone has wanted to pass the buck on helping these two. I guess this is the story of their lives. This is definatly the hardest journey God has ever called us on. Even though so many lied to us knowing he had directed our call and we have worked to honor what he has asked, to the best of our ability is all we can offer. We have been able to protect our other children from many attacks. As well as offer the best help for so many of their special needs. We have never given up or changed God's call when things got rough or let our children manipulate us into turning from what he has directed us to do. For this I am thankful. We keep walking through the doors he has opened. The bottom line is all our children know they are safe and loved. Now we are fighting for their special needs. Tomorrow is the big IEP meeting for Quita. Having her home learning with the other kids everyday is too much, it is not working and we all deserve more. It is not fair for any of them, we have finally gotten our district to evaluate her needs which are far beyond our expertise, and the school districts as well. It seems everyone knows where she belongs and what is the safest choice for her and all the other children. But you know what, no one wants to pay for it. Just like everything else in life money and politics try to rule all. We can't get her into this school, only the school district can. Please pray for a miracle and that everyone agrees to do what is best for all of our children, and the other children she will attend school with! We even have a doctor who has treated Q for over a year that has written a letter just pray the school district decides to listen. Yes she is still struggling daily! She needs this additional help and our other children need this too. Still believing in miracles.. We know we can't do this alone!!
