Changes and baptism

Over the past month so many things have changed. Quita decided to drop out of her program with no diploma. she is living in Sheboygan and figuring out what she will do next. I has been a big adjustment. Samuel is still at Ft McCoy and happily manipulating his every move.

The other teenagers and littles are just adjusting to the changes. We are still praying their nightmares will subside but even hearing from Samuel or Quita starts the cycle of fear all over again.

Yesterday A made the decision to get baptized. it was a very special and exciting day. She has decided through all her heartache that she can only make it with god and wanted to publicly proclaim it!! One of our proudest moments!!

Just taking a chance to breathe...

Seems like I keep promising myself I will get better at posting more often on here then well.. Life happens! My husband reminded me this past weekend he was " Just trying to catch his breath"! I guess that is what we are all doing. This summer was a time of change, adjustment, healing and dealing with some real truth! Our son was very damaging to our home and family. So I will try to keep you all updated once we catch our breath. Quita is still in a girls home she is legally 18 and plans to pursue a college scholarship when she graduates next May. Samuel is in Military school he too is 18 so will pursue whatever he chooses once he graduates in December. A is in 10th grade and doing well. J is attending a local high school as a Freshman playing varsity football, after a broken foot he is back in the game this week :) Princess is in 2nd grade and doing well, and Wild Mike started Kindergarten this year:)

Princess' creations

So Princess found a plain white hat in the attic she immediately brought it downstairs to glue flowers and glitter on it. She brought it in to show me I said, " Wow you found that and thought to decorate it right away? She said " Well Mom I am crafty!"

Here is the hat she made for Machi with a wiffelball that broke in half and yarn... Yep she is pretty crafty!!

Liberian adoptions

There have been stories popping up all over about the couple in California who are alledged to have beaten their adopted Libeian daughters to death. I pray the real story comes out. This is a tragedy two young girls are dead.. Very sad... This also makes me think of all the phone calls I still recieve looking for placement of the children they brought home from Liberia who have abused or are abusing the children already in the family. The Liberian government is now seriously haulting adoptions afraid the Liberian children are coming to families not fit to parent them. In Liberia children are beat regularly how could they be worse off in America. The bigger concern here is the families destroyed here by these adopted children/adults. I say this because my 2 are much older than their documents say they are adults!!! Living as 16 year olds.... This has all been brought to the Liberian governments attention the grotesqe abuse they have brought on young children already here in America in loving families. The fraudulant documents, the diseases they are bringing with them... they know of all these things but not until now will they raise their eyebrows. There is so much more I could say it is such a tragedy :( I pray for this family in CA and their other children as well. The lies and coruptness of Liberian adoptions is disgusting!!! It is destroying and ending the lives of many children!
Wild Mike got silver for design! He did a great job painting!!

Sad day!!

Yesterday started to be a great day!! Piggly Wiggly had their annual meat sale. So I was up and getting great savings at 6 am. Once home was when things went terribly wrong. Alexis' precious little puppy, she got for her birthday, CoCo was hit by a car. He died instantly. We were home and were watching him. It seems an inattentive driver going way to fast saw him sitting on the curb and startled so she jerked and he jumped slipping on the snow and she ran him over. Not even on the road kinda on our yard!!! Our kids cried and we had a little ceremony for our family friend, Daddy and J built a little box for his body. A is devistated so if each of you could say a prayer for her, Coco was her special birthday surprise when she turned 15 and this has left a hole that can't be replaced. Coco was so special to us all you will be missed dear friend!!

Mom (teenagers are fighting) "So do you think since I didn't take the medication when I was in labor I can have it now that you are teenagers?"

Dentist

Yesterday I took the kids to the dentist, No cavities :) On the way home I was telling the other kids how Isaac becomes mute when we go to the dentist he sits so quietly. They asked how so I sat very quietly with my mouth closed. Isaac yells no like this and leans his head back to open his mouth wide and quiet. he was right we all laughed!!! Precious!!
