Oh my aching thyroid!!!

Surgery it is... I will have a complete Thyroidectomy in my future. As soon as they can get some control over this enlarged beast. Doing surgery now is to dangerous so we have added more medication to help bring my levels down a little first. My heart has been greatly affected and I am to do nothing that may increase my heart rate (right..) until after surgery to keep it from further damage. After surgery we will look at my heart and pray it is restored... My surgeon and endocrinologist are the best I am so thankful and can't wait for the Thyroid storm to be over :) Seriously I can't believe it is as big as they showed me and can fit in my neck!! No wonder I have problems swallowing!
